Puffer Balls was the brainchild of Sawan Chavan, whose initials are KK. While attending his high school in India, he made rubber balls that he sold to students. He also developed a business plan to distribute the balls in the United States and Canada.
He developed a prototype of the Puffer ball and began testing them on his friends and family. His friends loved them so much that they would hide the balls and trade them among themselves.
Eventually they began to sell them in India. This led to a relationship with a company that donated balls for the children at an orphanage in India, and Chavan decided to move to this country to expand his business.
Chavan moved to New York City in 2010, where he found a friend who would put him in touch with New Yorker Alan Puffer.
