Cake personality type is ENTP, so I read between the lines and inferred that she was pretty much on a different level.
“So, uh, do you like my book?” I asked her.
“I love it,” she replied. “It’s brilliant.”
“Really?” I had no idea what else to say, so I’d stopped reading.
“Yes, I definitely think it’s brilliant. I love how you incorporate your experience of being a woman into the characters. I love the fact that you give women such attention in your book, and that you’re able to convey what they are really feeling and thinking.” She paused and then continued, “I think it’s great that you’re able to capture the relationships between female characters so well.”
This was one of my favorite conversations ever with a reader – there was a lot of real-life information that came out of her appreciation for the book. And she was right – it was brilliant.
