So, I’m not sure how to answer that question. Is that a good or a bad thing? Well, it depends on what you want to achieve with your life and career.
If you choose to work in a more conservative company, then I think it is a good thing, because you can get your foot in the door and perhaps get a promotion if you have a strong reputation for being an innovator.
If you choose to work in a more innovative company, then it probably won’t hinder your ability to get a promotion, because you’re someone who is willing to go against the grain. So, I think it is a good thing for people who want to change careers.
Mainly because, if you are working in a more conservative environment, and you’re not willing to challenge the status quo, then the chances of you getting promoted are pretty slim.
And, actually, if you’re working in a very conservative environment, then I think it’s a good thing – because if you do challenge the status quo, then it will make you stronger and stronger every day.
