Thyroid personality type is INFJ, so you're absolutely right that there is a lot of similarity between the two. But my impression is that the INFJ personality type is more based on introversion and introspection, while the ID personality type is more based on extraversion (and introversion). I'm sorry if I'm wrong, but the descriptions of both types I found were rather vague and non-descriptive.
As for the INFJ-ISFJ similarities, I think it's because both are introverted, self-aware, quiet, and have a strong sense of ethics. The ISFJ personality type is extroverted, warm and welcoming, and has a strong sense of duty and responsibility.
