I’m just saying that I’ve seen it a lot, and that I think it’s a useful shorthand for describing some of the common types on Reddit.
In particular, I think it’s useful for talking about the top comments on comments threads on Reddit. In these threads, people always seem to identify with a type, and spend a lot of time defending their choice. In many cases, these defenders have a lot of experience with the type, and have a very good grasp of their own type.
