Archie personality type is INFP, and his reaction to the news of his acceptance was to have a total meltdown. He's pretty much alienated himself from everyone, including his work friends, and he's been having a lot of trouble sleeping and focusing on his schoolwork. If you think about it, this is actually pretty normal reaction for someone who is genuinely excited about a new opportunity to advance their career.
But, again, this is not the reaction you'd expect from an INFP personality type. INFPs are not typically the type to respond to "bad news" by retreating completely and running away from everyone. They don't want to be alone and they don't want to be rejected by their friends, but they actually like feeling like they're making a positive difference in the world, and they want their friends to support them as they do so. This is what the INFP personality type is all about.
But right now, this whole thing has driven him absolutely crazy. He's not normally the type to stop communicating with people, let alone stop using social media, but it's really starting to feel like he's being forced to abandon his whole life and start over again.
