Human Visitors personality type is ISTJ, or “the Guard.” ISTJs are the clear-eyed, practical decision-makers who are also exceptionally capable of deep and meaningful emotional insights. They are strong-willed and responsible, but they are also compassionate, loyal and idealistic. ISTJs are conscientious and reliable. They like to have a clear plan of action, and they like to stick to it. They are careful planners, highly organized and detail-oriented. They are calm and consistent, with a great attention to detail. ISTJs are very common (about 15 percent of the population), and their outlook is relatively simple: Life is a succession of jobs that need doing, and we do them well. What ISTJs like is order and rules and procedures, which makes them excellent in careers that have a solid routine to follow, such as banking or sales, as well as in service jobs where schedules and patterns are important: nurses, security guards, police officers, or even military personnel.
