As for your comment about "what they categorize as a personality type is never what they are in reality", I would agree. But that's not to say that a person's personality type is not important to the person. Many of us have a strong personality type, and it influences how we interact with the world. I think it's important to consider how other people perceive us, and try to behave in a way that makes sense for their perception of us. However, for the most part, I think we can generally get along with pretty much anyone, but may be more bothered by certain people than others. When my dad was alive, he would tell me that he could see my personality type when he met me. He said that I was "funny", and had a big smile on my face.
