Troy is the son of King Priam and Queen Hecuba of the Trojans in Homer’s Iliad. He was the Trojan hero who led the defence of the city against the Greeks during the Trojan War, and was killed by Achilles during the final battle. Troy was a city built on a small hill that was well-defended, but allowed its inhabitants to be easily startled by events such as earthquakes (the shaking caused by his death). Troy is also associated with the Greek god Athena, who led the Greeks to victory over the Trojans at the end of the war.
