Davis personality type is ISTJ, as is Coop. The ISTJ is the stereotypical business-suit-wearing, long-suffering, reliable type. In this case, though, it's a little more complicated. As I mentioned above, the ISTJ doesn't usually have the kind of personality that would encourage the other team members to go against orders. They'll typically do what they're told, but they'll do it without much enthusiasm and without a lot of personal input of their own.
Also, Coop is not an ISFJ. All of that describes the ISTJ well, but in the case of Coop, there's an element of standoffishness and aloofness that's different from the ISTJ. There are also other ISFJ traits that aren't present in Coop (or in the ISTJ at all). For instance, ISFJs are often seen as "nice" people by their friends and co-workers. Coop is not that way at all. He's very blunt and direct, which gives him a reputation for being impersonal and cold.
