Yankee personality type is ISTP, a people-focused, trusting and organized personality type. I can see how ISTPs would be attracted to the idealistic message of the Green Party but, as with all idealistic movements, they would quickly find themselves disappointed in the reality of how things work in the real world.
ISTPs are not really known for their leadership, planning or organization skills. They would find themselves limited by the fact that they are very good at what they do but lack the skills to do anything else.
The idealistic nature of the Green Party would also conflict with the ISTP’s values. The ISTP is primarily a people person, and as an organized personality, he or she would have trouble with the ideas of a leaderless group with no structure or clear leadership.
This personality would also have trouble with their own strong beliefs and convictions. ISTPs have a strong need for social interaction and interaction with others, which would conflict with the idea of being isolated from others in the Green Party.
The ISTP personality is a very social type and because of this, it is difficult for this type to shut themselves off from society and instead be involved in social life.
