In the Pokémon Adventures manga, Pidgeot was first seen in Wanted: Pikachu!. He was used by Red to battle the Masked Man's Machamp. They battled in the air until the Masked Man lost his grip on Machamp and Pidgeot defeated him with a single Wing Attack. Pidgeot then took Machamp to the Pokémon Center.
Later, Pidgeot was used by Red to battle against Blue and his Gyara in Gyara's Mysterious Secret. Pidgeot fought against Blue's Kingdra and lost. It was later seen with Red at Indigo Plateau, where it was seen flying across a lake where Red saw a mysterious man on water.
In A Hollow Victreebel, Red sent out Pidgeot to battle against the legendary Victreebel after it was summoned by Earl. Despite being the highest leveled Pokémon on his team at that time, Pidgeot was defeated and captured by Victreebel.
