Doña Chela personality type is ESFJ, the idealist, the mediator, the person who seeks harmony and peace in the world. Don Chela is an ESFJ, if not the ESFJ of the group. The other three characters are ESTJs. From my perspective, their spending their time solving problems between different groups, and resolving conflicts between themselves is not useful for society at large.
I’m an INFJ myself, so this is my theory on Don Chela. But I’m not sure if it’s right. I’m just trying to explain his character to you. If you’re more of an INFJ, then I am sorry for the confusion I’m causing.
I don’t know if you can understand what I am trying to say, and I am sorry for that, but I really want to help you understand him better.
Anyway, I’ve been reading a lot of his blog lately. He is very insightful and has interesting discussions with his own wife and friends about things like politics and religion.
