In how many ways can you relate to Kyle?
I was just like Kyle when I was younger. I had a lot of friends, but felt like I was the only one. I was always the class clown and people made fun of me. I didn’t have a lot of friends, but I did have a few friends who I grew up with. I was like Kyle in that sense.
How did you get into improv?
I was in a comedy group in Vegas as a kid. I never thought of doing it professionally. It was just something fun to do. I don’t think I even knew who Bill Murray was until around the time he started working on Groundhog Day. I had no idea there was such a thing as an improv community when I got out there. The first improv classes I went to were in Vegas. I went to some of the classes with my friends from high school, who were also from Vegas. After a while, I started to get involved in the improv community in Vegas and started going to my first improv shows.
