Kanina Rupa personality type is ENTP, so it is quite natural for me to read the book from their point of view. The problem arises when I try to read from both points of view. I am an ENTP type, and if there is any tendency in my personality to be more interested in the information coming from the other personality type – I become aware of it very quickly. In this case the problem was the lack of information coming from the ISTJ point of view. The author states that, “There was a lot of information about the ISTJ characters, but there was almost none about the ENTPs”. I was kind of annoyed by this statement.
I would like to start with saying that I believe that this book is not a bad book. It does have some good ideas. The problem is that it is not a book for everyone to read. I would not recommend it to those who are not either ENTP or ISTJ. If you are an ENTP and you believe in the idea of changing yourself in order to fit into another type, this book may be helpful for you. If you are an ISTJ type and you believe that your personality is quite consistent with itself, this book may not be for you.
