He began his career at the age of 15 in the North Carolina State Fair, where he was the youngest electrician in the history of the fair. He worked there for two years before moving to the public schools, where he spent four years, and then the Technical College of North Carolina in Raleigh. After graduating with an associate's degree in technical education, he headed to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to pursue a bachelor's in business administration.
When Henituse was 21, he was hired to be the electrical manager at Crossroads Equestrian Center. He stays there to this day, and he loves it. "It's just a great place to work," he says. "I love all my co-workers. I love everything about it."
