Onryō personality type is INTJ, which means that his or her primary mode of living is internal and that people are important, but there is little emotion and that the use of logic comes first. The most important element for the onryō is the logic of human behavior, and that idea is reflected in the game’s ability to predict how a person will act based on their individual personality. This is the core gameplay mechanic that I was asked to build.
The purpose of the core gameplay is to predict how a character will act based on their personality (and other factors), and then use that knowledge to interact with them in a way that is most beneficial to the player.
In order for these interactions to be effective, the information that the player obtains through the core gameplay has to be accurate. To ensure that it is, there are many checks and balances in the design phase where many assumptions are made and many other systems are designed based on this assumption. These checks and balances are designed by other developers and designers. The core gameplay designer has a responsibility to ensure that all of these checks and balances are working correctly.
