This is actually rather unexpected, since Edd is described in canon as being more childish than his friends, who are known for being much more mature. The reason for this discrepancy is that Edd's Child personality is based on Edd's younger years when he was in the fourth grade. Since he was in 4th grade in the games, he would have been in the third grade in the manga.
Edd's unique clothing consists of a light blue shirt with a red collar, light blue pants, and a pair of brown shoes. The shirt has a belt with a red buckle, and the pants have no pockets. Edd also wears a brown belt with a red buckle, which is seen to be used to tie his pants up. The belt also has two large pockets to store small items.
