There are three parts to an ISFP personality: The first is their dominant function, which determines their character. The second part is the auxiliary function, which is the function that is in the opposite corner of the dominant function, and completes it and brings balance. The third part is the tertiary function, which is the least used but still important in the personality type.

The ISFP personality is often overlooked because they do not have a dominant function. They do not have to have a dominant function and can use all three functions, but they should not neglect any one of their functions. Their strongest suit is their tertiary function, but they should not neglect their auxiliary and dominant functions.

ISFPs can be more difficult to understand because they may take on a different role, depending on the situation. They can be shy or outgoing, quiet or loud, but they will never change too much from the way they are. They are more likely to be the person who just gets up and goes with the flow than someone who tries to act out of character for each situation.
