There are a few things that they can bring over if they want to, but they should generally leave me alone and let me do my own thing. For example, one of my friends had her college roommate over for dinner one time, and she brought her boyfriend and his ex-girlfriend over for dinner as well. He was a bit of a jerk, so that wasn't a good idea.
