U.K. personality type is INTJ, and I came to the realization that I was an INTJ. For the first time, I had a language for why I felt so different and so different from others, up until then.
INTJ is one of the most misunderstood personality types in the world. There are many misconceptions about this type, which is why I want to take a moment to clear some of the air.
Myth #1: INTJs are socially awkward or introverted.
This is not true. On the contrary, INTJs are very social creatures — they simply dislike it when they are not complimented on a project or when they are not appreciated. They have a tendency to often say what they think others want to hear because they don’t want to be disliked.
Myth #2: INTJs are always single.
This is another misconception. While INTJs are very independent thinkers, they still tend to date people who are more akin to their own personality type. They do not like to be alone, but like to feel understood and valued by their partner. Unfortunately, this means that there aren’t many INTJs in relationships at the moment.
