He moved to Portland, Oregon in the early 90's to attend the University of Portland, where he studied Computer Science and Engineering. He spent a great deal of his undergraduate career working as a technical consultant for various companies.
In 2006, he began working for the City of Portland, where he developed the city's first comprehensive Web 2.0 website strategy. Shortly after he was hired as the Director of Digital Media for Portland Parks and Recreation, a position he held for 2 years. In 2008, he became the Director of Digital Media for the City of Portland.
In 2010 he moved back to Portland, Oregon to take an executive position with a digital marketing agency. He spent 2010-2012 as the chief marketing officer at ROK Creative Media, an online marketing agency that provides integrated digital marketing solutions for small to large businesses. He also worked as the creative director at ROK Creative Media from 2012 until September 2013.
In 2012, Will was recruited by the Oregon Department of Administrative Services to create a new YouTube channel for the agency.
