I discovered this in my research after years of experiencing migraines and seizures. I never knew why I was experiencing them. I went to numerous doctors and specialists, who gave me medication that did nothing and had no idea why I was having them. Eventually, one doctor suggested I find a type of therapy that focused on the cognitive functions of the mind. I found it and it changed my life.
However, I also gained a very strong insight into what is going on in the brain when someone experiences migraines, seizures or other symptoms of the mind having a physical reaction. I felt like I was peeling back the layers of an onion and finally understanding why I was having these problems.
I experienced an Epilepsy diagnosis when I was just 13 years old.
