Background
As a member of Takeda clan, Naotora was raised in Kyoto as a samurai, while his father, Takeda Shingen, lived in Tokyo as the head of a large clan. His mother died during childbirth, and he was often left alone with his father. He was raised to be a ruthless killer, and trained from a young age to be a skilled swordsman in order to make him better than his father, who had been the clan's greatest swordsman. He was taught about the history of the Takeda clan, which included their conquest of Japan during the Sengoku period, and their ability to bring down the Kamakura Shogunate with the use of the Takeda Clan's two main generals: Nobuyoshi Araki and Yukimura Sanada.
