Sylvari personality type is INFP, which is why I've seen them as the most emotionally expressive of the four.
The reason that the sylvari are so emotionally expressive is that they have a lot of personal history to them, and have spent a lot of time learning how to deal with their own emotions and how they affect others. The crystal is a symbol of their feelings, so they are naturally inclined to express those feelings.

Once the sylvari have reached adulthood, they gain access to their new body and begin to explore it. They can use their new body to heal themselves and others, and learn social skills just as any race would. They can also use their connection to the trees to communicate with the other races, which helps them learn about people and the world around them.
