When you look at the two emperors, Aekku is a bit more like a real-life version of Emperor Taishō in his maturity (or lack thereof). He has a very similar personality to that of Emperor Taishō, who was an influential and powerful leader but still perceived as being weak as a human being.
On the other hand, Eikku is even more like Emperor Taishō at his youth. He has the same character that ended up making him a failure and a disappointment.
This comparison is not meant to make Aekku look bad. In fact, he is quite similar to various emperors in the past that have had similar traits. It’s just something I like to point out as a contrast to how popular he is in fanworks and how he is usually depicted.
The same goes for Eikku. I also want to point out that this is somewhat of a different take on him. In most fanworks, he is portrayed as a total fool who cannot think of anything to do.
This isn’t the case here.
