Chiaki Hiranaka is a very quiet and reserved boy, but has a much more outgoing side to him when around his friends. He is always willing to do anything he can to help his friends and the people he cares about. He is also very polite and respectful when the situation calls for it. He is also very loyal to his friends and would do anything to protect them. He also has a strong sense of justice, very rarely does he ever go back on a promise or agreement he's made. In school, he is often seen by his fellow students as a "tough guy" due to his generally unfriendly personality and his reputation of being a delinquent. Because of this, he often gets picked on or bullied for it, but he doesn't care about that at all, and if anything, that only makes him stronger. He doesn't give in to bullies easily and will fight back to protect his friends and family.
