I've been told that this is a good sign for someone learning magic, but it's certainly not always a good thing. If you have the all-around aptitude, you probably shouldn't be taking up a profession that requires such focus.
Furthermore, while Leofard is certainly skilled with his magic, he's also shown to be very poor at it. He is completely clueless in regards to how to cast spells and doesn't even know that they exist... until he's told that they do.
Leofard That's true, which is why I've always been keeping my distance from the practice of magic. Myste doesn't like to be told what to do, and for good reason.
