Persona personality type is ISFP, the artist. While the other four personae are all based on Jung’s descriptions of the functions, the artist is the only one that is a direct result of his theory. The artist is a creative, intuitive, expressive, and empathetic type, while the other four are primarily cognitive.
In the artist’s defense, however, there are a lot of people who have artistic talent and don’t actually fit this description. In fact, you can see how artists fit into the cognitive category. They tend to be highly analytical and logical, which is what you would expect from a type that primarily operates from the head.
I’ve been an artist since I could hold a crayon, but I was never very good at it. I got a C in art in high school and a D in college art, and I didn’t draw much during my time in the military. The last time I drew seriously was in the Air Force, when I started playing with a sketch book every month or so when I had time off.
