I had a dream that I was trying to learn a new language and was struggling with some of the vocabulary. I was reading a book and it said, “Only ENFJs who are very interested in learning enough of a new language to feel comfortable speaking it will be able to understand how to use it correctly.”
This was the first time I heard that phrase and it resonated with me. Over the course of my life, I’ve learned a lot of different languages. If you consider that I’ve learned around 40 languages, I’m not a bad student.
I’ve always been interested in learning new languages, but as I got older, I realized that I might not be able to learn enough to understand how to use them correctly.
I thought about it for a few weeks and then I realized that I should get an honorary degree and get a Ph.D. in linguistics so I can be an expert in linguistics. I don’t have any idea if that’s possible, but I have the resources and ambition to make the effort to learn other languages.
