I was a little surprised to read that my father was an ESFP, because he is definitely not an extrovert. So I looked up ESFP on the internet and discovered that this is a common type for people who don’t like to be around people. In my dad’s case, he prefers to be alone and is often found reading a book or watching television. When he does socialize, it is usually with his family or his friends. He does enjoy spending time with people and can get easily bored if he doesn’t have enough people to talk to.
One of the main differences between my father and me is that I am also an introvert, but I’m not as shy as he is. I can talk to lots of people at once, and I can even be quite outgoing, as long as the people I talk to are interesting. On the other hand, my father does not like to talk to many people at once and can become easily overwhelmed by a crowd.
I do have a number of friends in my life, and I do enjoy spending time with them. But I am definitely not a party person.
