How did you get into your career?
I graduated from high school, and I started working at the foreign trade attaché office in the Japanese embassy in Turkey. After I completed my studies in law, I decided to work at the Japanese embassy. For my work, I had to study the Turkish culture, so I spent many years learning Turkish. After about 20 years of working at the Japanese embassy, I wanted to spend more time with my daughter. I studied for one year at a university in Turkey, and then I moved back to Japan. My husband is from Turkey.
What are your responsibilities at the embassy?
I am a rule conforming official.
