In general there is a lot of music in Greece. I would say that it's a small country but there is a lot of music. Personally I think that Greek music is not so well known to the international music scene. The problem is that Greek music is not as commercial as it should be and it is not so popular.
I have been to Greece 2 times: once in 2004 and once in 2009. Both of these times I visited Athens, the capital of Greece. I did this because I wanted to see something more than just the islands. I have heard a lot about Greek music and Greek people and all the things I was told were true.
The first time I visited Greece was all right. It was not my best experience. The country and the city are very different from what I expected. I guess that if you are a tourist you will like it, but not if you are not a tourist.
