Richard personality type is ISTJ, or the “Safest Choice” (or the “Stick-in-the-Mud”). In a nutshell, the ISTJ is a strong rule-follower. ISTJs are hard workers who adhere to rules and regulations, without question.
If you’ve read my post on the 3 types of leaders, you know that all leaders are not created equal. The same can be said for every type. If you’re an ISTJ, you have a very different take on leadership than if you’re an ENTJ. While ENTJs are highly ambitious, they also tend to be more “hands on” in their leadership style. ENTJs are not afraid to stand up and take charge, especially if they feel they have a good idea that will help their team do better work. ENTJs will often be the first to jump in and solve a problem. ENTJ leaders also tend to be more charismatic than ISTJ leaders, which is why many people find it difficult to understand the differences between the two types.
While ISTJs typically enjoy being at the helm of a project or organization, they do not like being in the spotlight.
