Cheers. I was so upset when I was told this, but then I searched the net and got a better one.
This is wrong in at least three ways: (1) INTPs are rarer than most people think; (2) INTPs are less rare than most people think; (3) INTPs are not rare at all.
By the way, I'm an INTP, and I think these are all wrong. The descriptions are really too extreme, and most INTPs don't fit them very well.
This is not the best explanation of the INTP.

As for the ISTP thing, I'm not sure where it came from. To me an ISTP feels like a combination of the ENTP and the ISFP personality types.
