There's this idea that you should only do a certain amount of work in one day, and if you don't manage to do it, you should just be happy that you've done a whole lot of work at all.
I think that's bullshit. Don't listen to people who say things like this. It's totally possible to have a great day and still get a lot done.
You're going to probably have to do some things that you don't want to do, but there are ways around that.
If you're not sure how to handle being told what to do by some big boss, you can always just ignore them and do something else instead.
