Shin Kazama personality type is ISFP, a clamshell of a hero. He's a truly tragic character, the son of a lynch mob who was the victim of a serial killer. He seeks revenge on the murderer and to avenge his parents and himself. He carries himself as if he were a person of power and dignity, but always for others. As a child, he was the subject of bullying and even murder threats because of his body, but he was also the class clown and kept his head up. As he grew up, though, he became more introverted and depressed. He had no friends until he met Envy, who saw his potential as a good person and helped him overcome his depression. And then...he became an assassin who would do anything to get his revenge.
It's been said that Kazama's personality is like that of a sociopath (he can't feel true emotion), and that he has no core or heart, but I couldn't disagree more. The first time I played him, I felt like he had a huge heart, one that he could never show because of his mission. As the game continued on, I really connected with his character in that way.
