Elaine Kim personality type is ISFJ, and I am an ISFJ.
My husband is an ISFJ.
We have a little girl who is an ISFJ.
Now, this is not to say that our daughter is going to be exactly like us, or that she will be like us at all. She will be her own individual person, possessed of her own interests and her own personality. And that is perfectly fine.
But in honor of the birthday of one of my favorite fictional characters of all time, I want to talk about Elaine Kim and ISFJ in general.
1. How do we relate to others?
ISFJs are people pleasers. This is one area where we differ from the rest of the Myers-Briggs population, who are generally more interested in their own enjoyment, than their own happiness. We are not as interested in our own needs as we are in our ability to serve others. We have empathy, and we feel things deeply, but we also value being useful to others. We care deeply about our relationships with our loved ones -- including our friends, our spouses, our children and our extended family.
