Onyx personality type is INFJ, by the way.
The only thing that really bothers me about the Myers-Briggs system is that it does a pretty good job of describing how people think and how they interact with others, but it doesn't seem to capture important details about how we feel. I'm talking about the feelings part, not the actions.
I don't need a textbook to tell me how I am feeling. I already know that when I'm feeling happy and excited, I'm more likely to say things that make people laugh. When I'm feeling upset or annoyed, I'm more likely to take things personally and get upset.
Is there any way to describe these feelings/emotions more accurately? Or is this just part of the mystery of the mind?
I have been thinking about this a lot recently because a few days ago I started taking a new medication that seems to be working pretty well. For the first time in years, I'm not depressed and I don't have crippling anxiety all of the time. (I've always been highly sensitive.)
I guess what I want to know is why it works.
