Mario personality type is ESFP, which makes sense, since the Mario games are all about fun and excitement. The ESFP is characterized by their outgoing and energetic personality, and they have a tendency to get caught up in the moment, where they lose track of time and start playing because it's fun to do so. In Mario, we have a perfect example of this with the ant-like Goomba, which is most likely a reference to the actual ant insect. ESFPs are the dreamers of the MBTI world, constantly looking for new things in life and seeing the best in people. This can sometimes get them into trouble, as it's easy to get caught up in their own thoughts and forget about other people's needs. At this point, I am reminded of a quote from the Super Mario Bros movie, where Luigi says that Mario is "a dreamer who can't come back from his own dream," and this is true for ESFPs as well. The ESFP is a very loyal person, and will stick with you even if you don't put out the same amount of effort as they do. As a result, they tend to be very protective of those they care about, especially when they're feeling down.
