Bryan is an extremely creative and talented writer and game designer. In addition to being the writer of the DKCR script, he's also the creator of many other video games. He's also a big fan of Cranky Kong, which leads me to believe that he understands that Cranky Kong plays a vital role in Donkey Kong Country Returns' story, a story that is a continuation of DKC2's.
