What was your first job after graduating from business school?
I was CEO at a travel agency during a period when I was trying to decide what I wanted to do in life. I was doing it because I wanted to, but I wasn't sure what I wanted to do in life. After a year, I got a better job at a crisis management office. I was there for seven years and spent a lot of time in the office and on the road.
What were your experiences with the crisis management office?
One of my jobs was managing a national crisis response team that was responsible for handling crises like Dalkon Shield, which is when we were asked to manage a crisis for women who had been using this IUD.
