Honda has also had to learn to deal with the fact that he has an elite standing at his job, but is still treated as a rookie by many of his teammates.
“I’m getting used to that, and it makes me think about how I can make (my teammates) feel comfortable,” he said.
“But I was a rookie once, and I know how it feels. So I want to make sure to show them how much I care about them, and make them feel like they can rely on me as a teammate as well as a leader.”
