He was visited by his father, who told him that he had passed the imperial exam and was promoted to the 7th regiment. Lin Mo told him that he had failed and was going to be executed. His father said that he told his mother that he had passed the exam, which let her believe that he had truly passed it. Lin Mo then said that his father had been fooled too, and his father replied that it didn't matter if he passed or not, both his parents were proud of him regardless. This leads the viewer to think that Lin Mo's role in the anime is to show the actions and thoughts of his character, but that his personality would be that of an INTJ.
