Anchor personality type is ESTP, while the anchor in the story is an INTJ. This might very well be a representation of the two types (the anchor and the ship) that have been placed apart together by the author. INTJ is a very rational and logical type, and ESTP is a very non-rational, non-logical type. They are polar opposites, and the ship that was "placed apart" is clearly a representation of the two types being represented as polar opposites on the same ship.
I personally think that the ship that is "placed apart" should be a representative of the two types being represented as polar opposites on the ship itself. The ship represents the "place where two opposites meet." The two opposites in this case are the INTJ (rational, logical) and the ESTP (non-rational, non-logical). The "place where two opposites meet" is then an INTJ ship and an ESTP ship meeting on the same ship. The INTJ is the rational mind and the ESTP is the irrational mind, both represented on that ship.
In my opinion, this definitely is not proof enough of my theory, but it is still interesting, and it supports my theory.
