As with all 8 types, there are many different variants of the INFP. The INFPs I’ve met have been very different from each other and (for me) just as fascinating.
My friend Julia (an INFP) is a good example of this. She’s very quiet and detached, but I’m told she can be very funny at times.
Julia is not a chatterbox by any means. But she is very observant, and picks up on things that others miss. She’s a great listener, and can be very compassionate at times, which explains her nickname ‘The Sensitive One’.
My other friend, Emma (an INFP) is the opposite of Julia. She’s chatty, louder than a rooster, and has a very dry sense of humour. I’ve never heard her talk about herself (which I think is a sign of her maturity).
Emma is also very compassionate, and I remember her talking about a time when she was very upset about something, and feeling very sorry for herself. But then she stopped talking and just cried quietly instead.
