Ben Watling personality type is ISFP, and the other two were MBTI types, though I can’t remember which. I’m not sure if any of them were INFJs.
I was told that once you’ve come to a place of peace with yourself, you are able to do the same with others. This was especially true when it came to my father and our relationship. At first, I was very confused and angry at him for being an alcoholic. It was a very upsetting thing when I had known him for so many years and he turned into a completely different person.
I wanted to understand why he did it and how he could have been so easily misled into this situation. But in time, I came to understand that it was not his fault. He was a very kind and loving person, who had gotten caught up in something that he had been unable to control. I could see that he was desperately trying to change, but that he just didn’t know how to do it.
When I was able to understand this, I was able to forgive him for his mistakes. This made all the difference in the world.
