While at the University of Pennsylvania, Kropp was a theater major and a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the Quill and Dagger Honor Society. He later earned a doctorate in educational psychology from the University of Washington.
Kropp developed his interest in personality types while working as a high school counselor. He got students to agree to take an online test and was amazed by the results.
“Everyone’s personality was different, but they all had the same personality type,” he said. “We’re all the same.”
Kropp said the test turned out to be much more accurate than standard personality tests, which only show what you do well and are not very accurate for predicting a person’s future.
