I think the drawing of the INTP as a mathematician who is lost in the world of abstraction and is not social really fits with the character of the INTP type. It's not that the INTP is a loner, but their introversion has a lot to do with the way they see the world, and the way they think about it. Watson's Watson is a conversationally-driven person, but he is also very theoretical in his thinking, and that's a lot like a lot of INTPs.
davidmcevoy 10:38 PM: I think Mr. Holness is INFP because he is socially awkward and used to be a "little kid" in his day. He also has a desire to make people laugh. I think he is not very theoretical in his thinking. As far as the "conversationally driven" part goes, I've had INTPs that were quite into conversations with me.
