My emotional life is quite complex, and I sometimes find it difficult to express my feelings in words. However, I try my best to do so when I feel that I can be of help or comfort to others.
When I was a child, my family was fairly introspective. My parents would often talk about their feelings when they were together. I would often ask them questions, and they would answer my questions in a fairly honest and open manner.
I also recall that my friends and I would often talk about our feelings. If a friend was upset or angry with another friend, we would talk about the situation and let the other friend know how they felt. We would help the upset or angry person figure out what they needed to do to take better care of themselves. We would often talk about our feelings, even if our parents didn't approve of it.
We would also sometimes express our feelings in front of others, as well.
